Midtown is getting a new place to gather.
Midtown Green, a four-acre public space at 98 14th Street, is set to open this September, bringing an open lawn, walking paths and free community programming to the heart of the neighborhood. The interim space will host a mix of activities, including film screenings, lawn games, food trucks with live music, Pilates and the Midtown Artisan Market.
The site is being developed by Midtown Alliance as part of a larger vision for a vibrant public destination. Long-term plans call for a pavilion, performance venue, restaurant and café, community building and public art.
