I’ve noticed that revisionist history is running rampant in our industry these days. We all have a brain fart here and there – we’re human. Yet, I’m fascinated by how many work-related instances have happened as of late that are blatant rewrites of conversations, action items and expectations.
I’m not sure if it’s pandemic overload, fast-paced work fatigue or completely intentional for those who are chronic offenders. I recognize now more than ever before that documentation is critical and organization is key.
Thank goodness for email trails, reports, recaps, text threads and call logs. Document everything and then drop the mic.
