Georgia economy strong, says State Fiscal Economist

by The 100 Companies

According to State Fiscal Economist Jeffrey Dorfman, the economy in Georgia is in good shape. And it’s his job to know.

At a recent meeting in Rome he said, “During the pandemic, Georgia managed to save over $70 billion. And despite inflation increasing prices, they still have over $50 billion left.”

In more good news, he also said that Georgia has added almost 170,000 jobs since the beginning of the pandemic. According to Jeff, the state has done a good job of creating jobs, especially in warehousing and manufacturing, and there are two job openings for everyone seeking a job.
