Another Walmart is opening its doors in Atlanta, but not as you might expect. Instead of another sprawling superstore, the retail giant has chosen Atlanta to be the newest location for a tech hub, as part of its expanding Global Tech enterprise.
Although an office space has yet to be revealed, Walmart has announced the first round of hiring offers 140 jobs related to software engineering, data science and more. Jobs are currently posted with workers set to start remotely until offices are ready.
Walmart stated it was drawn to Atlanta due to its growing tech presence and diverse workforce.
