by The 100 Companies

Coming back after the pandemic altered many holidays in 2020, Halloween will generate an estimated $10.1 billion in sales nationally this year, up from $8.05 billion last year.

Sixty-five percent of Americans plan to participate in activities this year, up from 58 percent in 2020, with households with children at 82 percent. Spending on decorations is $3.2 billion, on costumes is $3.3 billion and candy sales will top $3 billion for the first time, according to the National Retail Federation’s study.

There’s a new top costume for children, with Spiderman replacing the princess by a 1.8 million-1.6 million number.
