After months of negotiations with no progress, Congress recently passed a second COVID-19 relief package aimed to help struggling Americans and businesses. The bill is composed of 5,593 pages of legislation and came together on Sunday, Dec. 20. The following Monday it passed the Senate and the House with the majority of votes.
So, what does it mean for you? The package is made up of $900 billion dollars which will be paid out in $600 direct checks to most Americans (exceptions can be found here), $300 per week in supplemental jobless benefits, plus new subsidies for struggling businesses who qualify.
