Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Atlanta is embarking on its first major renovation in more than 30 years, powered by a successful $27 million capital campaign.
The project will introduce several dynamic new exhibits, including Changing Earth, the museum’s largest permanent installation; the hands-on Orkin Discovery Zone; a revamp of the Star Gallery; and a new space for rotating exhibitions. Additional accessibility upgrades, such as a new elevator and automatic doors, will enhance visitor access throughout the building as well as to the WildWoods nature area.
The museum plans to unveil these enhancements in stages beginning late 2025 through 2027.
