I just returned from a public relations conference at which I spoke last year. My PowerPoint presentation went awry, speeding up uncontrollably and amusingly captivating the audience.
This year, the conference theme seemed to be “No More PowerPoints!” One speaker only showed images and no words. Another recommended you look business prospects in the eyes and ask lots of questions, much as you would in a dating situation.
One speaker from Disney suggested sticking illustrated FlipChart pages along the walls and taking your attendees around on a more intimate journey, presenting while everyone walks with you.
