Emotions swept over me after hearing of last week’s senseless murders of three Muslim college students in Chapel Hill, NC, a place near and dear to my heart.
I was confused, then angry, then sorrowful. It’s hard for me to comprehend how someone could be compelled to end the lives of those who made it their goal to improve the lives of others.
But now a sense of joy is creeping in, as thousands have donated close to $500k for a crowdfunding campaign one of the victims set up before his death to help fund dental relief for Syrian refugees.
