As a teenager, I happily rode city buses and, when MARTA trains were announced, I was ecstatic. Then I was disheartened when Cobb and Gwinnett voters rejected the service, fearing certain “elements” might roam their counties.
In recent weeks, the tide has turned again. Major corporate employers such as NCR announced they are leaving the suburbs for Midtown, to be near younger talent and – you guessed it – MARTA. Now that’s smarta!
