Salesmanship

by The 100 Companies

A CEO friend told me long ago, “Nothing happens on any given day in the business world until somebody sells something to somebody else.”

One might be tempted to make the “chicken or egg” argument – without a product or service first, there’s nothing to sell. But my client continued, “And the most important sale is the sale of an idea.”

Whatever the job description, each of us is in sales. We sell ideas to our colleagues every day, ideas that are important to us. Mastering basic salesmanship enhances every career. Remember, nothing happens until somebody sells something to somebody else.
