Can’t say I’d ever seen a walk-in oven before. The massive ovens were a highlight of a tour of the new location of Piece of Cake, which recently moved its baking operations to a building on Collier Road.
I also enjoyed sampling the cookies, brownies, cupcakes, cheese straws and more at its recent open house. Those ovens get heavy use as they provide the goodies for all eight locations of the popular cake purveyor, including the one at Hartsfield-Jackson.
The building includes a rental space for parties while the retail area has plenty of goodies and gift items to go.
