A child’s play sword fight went way wrong, resulting in a dramatic facial injury to then nine-year-old David Park.
The good news is a surgeon repaired the injury – thanks to the quick thinking of David’s mother – and the young boy was inspired to become a doctor.
Today, Dr. Park and his brother Alex are board-certified surgeons providing patient care in the Johns Creek office of VeinInnovations.
The episode “left a lasting impression on what I wanted to do with my life to help others,” David told us in our Crossroads video. “I’m now doing exactly what I was called to do.”
