Not since 2000 and 2001 – when Robinson-Humphrey and J.C. Bradford were acquired by larger firms – has there been a regional wealth management firm primarily focused on the Southeast, until now.

Last week, Cary Street Partners’ managing partner Kip Caffey, who works out of the Buckhead office of the Richmond-based firm, announced the acquisition of Riverstone Wealth Management, a Texas-based firm with offices in Austin and San Antonio.

Caffey said the expansion is part of a planned footprint that reaches from “from Virginia to Texas – a region where we know how to speak the language!”
