An Atlanta holiday staple, the Nutcracker begins its month-long run at the Fox Theatre tomorrow, making me nostalgic for the time I played a small part in the production as a nesting doll.
Accompanied by the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra, the two-hour show follows the story of a young Marya as she faces off with the Rat King alongside the heroic Nutcracker. This year marks the 57th year the Nutcracker has been presented by the Atlanta Ballet.
Performances of the Nutcracker begin December 9 and end Christmas Eve. Ticket prices start at $25 each and can be purchased here.
