Last week, we attended my sister-in-law’s UGA graduation. Walking around on a college campus again made me nostalgic for my days at Auburn.
Todd Fuller, project manager for HGOR, reminds us when alumni reflect on the “best four years of their lives,” it’s not the classrooms they’re remembering. It’s the “third spaces” that create those nostalgic twangs – time spent in the quad or in between classes.
Rather than following traditional campus-planning norms, Todd suggests activating underutilized spaces, taking a macro approach and ensuring site design and architecture flow. Read more in this recent Student Housing Business article.
